5 simple resolutions

It is a household requirement to make a New Year's Resolutions, so I'm going to share my 5 simple resolutions that I wish to make into a habit! They are actually quite similar to last year, but nonetheless, they are the things that I want to focus on for the year.

1. Read the bible from beginning to end in the span of the year.
Unfortunately, I did not read the bible all the way through last year... I am quite bad at keeping the habit of reading every day, but I want to discipline myself to do so.

2. write in a journal every day (3 sentences).
Last year I kept a small journal and wrote one sentence.. But I didn't feel like it was enough, so I'm expanding to three sentences! And I set myself a little guideline for each sentence.
First - something special that happened that day
Second - something that made my smile that day
Third - something that I am grateful for that day
I think these are good to help me write the account of my life as well as reflect on the things that I am blessed with.

3. Find internship/work over the summer.
hmm I want to find an internship related to my major.. but otherwise, I want to work in a restaurant and possibly continue just helping out my friend Ali's company :) I want to do this every summer to make sure I am somewhat make use of my time. Or summer school! I honestly wouldn't mind that :]

4. Goal GPA of 3.5 after sophomore fall quarter.
Slightly less than my high school standards, but after all, engineering is pretty hard, I'm finding out ...  I don't want to put myself on a pressure of getting a 4.0, but I definitely want to challenge myself.

5. Read 15 books in a year.
I need to make time to read more.

I know the title says 5, but I wanted to add 3 more...

6. come 5-10 minutes early before meeting someone.
I want to respect the time of whoever I'm meeting .. and when I meet my friends I want to arrive early and make sure I can spend as much time with them as I can because friends are important to me :)

7. Adopt more physically healthy habits in my life.
I am not really unhealthy per se, but I want to take care of my body more, so I'm slowly placing in more healthy habits, such as flossing very regularly, walking up 6 flights of stairs after a meal, going on a pescetarian diet for half the week, etc.

8. Having more confidence.
I lack much confidence and I know I have to work on it. I'm not sure how exactly, but I will work something out!

9. Oh, and of course continuing on with my blog -
    2 "blog" entries
    1 "adventure" entry
    1 "list" entry
per month! let's see how this goes.

wish me luck on fulfilling these resolutions for the year!

bye bye until next time ^
