Most people look at me with surprise when I say that I like to travel by myself. I do enjoy the company of a friend or two and experience traveling with them. But there’s a huge sense of freedom when I am alone. I feel free to roam the streets, ride the subway, wander through stores, take pictures, and get lost in my thoughts. It is a secret dream of mine to backpack Europe by myself, but I think it might be a bit too dangerous, so I will have to do that with my [future] husband or a friend.
Anyways, I headed up to the Bay Area (a week ago) to take a small vacation from work and also meet a couple of friends. On the Saturday of that weekend, I took the Caltrains up from San Jose to San Francisco. I went to the Asian Art Museum and wandered around the streets of Mission District. It was quite lovely :>
