adventure with jenny

Today I went on an adventure with Jenny! We took a bus to MUJI in Santa Monica (a Japanese minimalistic lifestyle store) and we had fun admiring a lot of wonderful and beautiful items that we could probably not afford for another five (or ten) years.

After spending time stamping notebooks that we bought, we took a stroll from MUJI to third street promenade (about a mile) where we took time to look through stores on Main Street. My favorite was this small jewelry store that hosted a variety of different styles and forms of jewelry. I bought a small gold ring with cut out flowers around the band and I think it's my new favorite!

For lunch, we went to a restaurant that specialized in making onigiri (Japanese rice balls) called Sunny Blue. We saw that there was a lot of people, so kind of just hopped in.. We were pleasantly surprised to eat something so filling and delicious.

At Third Street Promenade, we went to several different stores; including UNIQLO. I love UNIQLO because the clothes just fit me well.. I also bought this beanie (shown in the picture below); I justified the purchase by telling myself that it was for my St Louis trip at the end of the year.

When we were trying to get back to UCLA, we accidentally took the wrong bus and ended up at the Santa Monica Pier. So of course we stopped by and took some pictures :)
